On July 15, 2021, the Fire Resistance Testing Laboratory (LAS – XD 416) – Institute for Construction Engineering Structures – Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology conducted a fire resistance test on two open-type duct design samples (Type A duct and Type B duct) provided by Viet Panel Construction Co., Ltd. The evaluation of fire resistance performance was carried out in accordance with ISO 6944 – 1:2008.
The test was conducted on a horizontal furnace testing system. Environmental conditions inside the furnace (temperature and pressure) were controlled and maintained in compliance with ISO 6944 – 1:2008 requirements. Monitoring results indicated that all technical parameters of the furnace met the testing standard, and the duct samples ensured fire resistance for 50 minutes.
The entire testing procedure was performed under the witness of the Investor’s representative and technical experts of the client.
